Eu conto!

Since 2010, the French photographer has been studying how our relationship with our pets is and has come to the conclusion that we do not consider them more animals: they are taking the places of children in our home and in our society in general. In addition to this relationship with us, puppies are more and more like humans in behavior, such as sleeping on the road, wearing clothes or eating some goodies. That was exactly the essence that Sophie Gamand captured with the lens of her photographic equipment .

The original and fun mega rehearsal features several pictures of small puppies while having a good time taking a shower – which is also typically an activity of us humans. With the title of Wet Dog , the flashes catch the puppies' super funny expressions and the super hilarious shape of their fur when they are wet. From this rehearsal (and the various sighs that we release to each photo) we realize how these little ones make our life and the super important space that they occupy not only in our house, but also in our little hearts.

In the 2014 Sony World Photography Awards , the series took first place in the Portrait category. No wonder, right? There's no denying it: we're all crazy about dogs!
